Swimming – 1.6km Training Plan

This 1.6k Swimming plan is for swimmers looking to swim up to swimming 1 mile comfortably. The sessions will build to longer than 1.9km in order to ensure you gain speed and endurance for them and, as a result, will ensure you are trained well for racing 1.6km.

Ideal for swimmers with limited time throughout the week. This plan is perfect for swimmers who can already swim some distances (e.g. 100-400m) but are lacking the endurance to last for much longer than that. We recommend that if you struggle with those shorter distances, you work with a swim teacher or coach first and then build into this plan to develop your endurance.
