At Tri Training Harder, we pride ourselves at being able to give sound advice and knowledge to all our athletes. We are able to create tailor-made training sessions designed with the athlete at the centre of the programme. We are able to cater for athletes of all abilities and with different aims. If you are after an age group podium position, or a 1st time finisher, then we are able to help you achieve your goals.
Group coaching plans
We run group coaching plans tailored to a clubs needs. Even a group training plan allows each member of the group to input their own training information to be monitored by the coach on training peaks. Group plans are ideal for university clubs who need more structure and direction to their weekly schedule, ensuring that training phases through the year are timed effectively around exams, holidays and towards BUCS races. Club captains never need write a training session again, and can confident in the knowledge they are giving their club a training schedule that will get the most out of each individual. The group coaching plans also provide a platform from which individuals can contact the head coach writing the plan with feedback and questions.
For a group coaching plan the current price is £80/month.
Individual coaching plans
Our most popular service. We offer a range of individual coaching services to suit every athlete and budget. The table to the right displays what we currently offer along with our pricing structure.
Meet your coach
Our individual coaching programme includes and initial meet and greet with your coach, so you can put a face to the name and get to know them really well. Without this initial first step, you will find it difficult to relate to the coach and your feedback could be misinterpreted. We see coaching as a relationship. It is a two directional process: the coach and the athlete must be able to pass information across to each other freely.
How does it work?
Our coaches will plan your training sessions around your schedule and will provide you your personal training plans through Training Peaks software (
www.trainingpeaks.com) online so you can upload your training straight to the web and let your coach see and amend your training accordingly. You are able to input body metrics such as weight, sleep quality, sleep length, diet and many others so your coach can be in the very best position to give you the best training you can manage. Each of our coaching plans allows you to give actual feedback to your coach This face time means you and your coach arrive at your important race together, knowing your performance will be the very best you can manage.
What do I need?
To achieve the very best out of your training, recommend that you buy at the very least a training sports watch with a heart rate function and a Finis Tempo Trainer.
How often do I contact my coach?
We do not initiate any contact with our athletes. We feel this is intrusive and regularly unneccessary. It us up to you, the athlete, to send us information you think is neccessary for us to help coach you. Your coach will monitor everything you put up on Training Peaks and will discuss things with you as regularly as your plan dictates.
Are the contact times set in stone?
No. We are fully aware that occasionally unexpected events will take place which could not be forseen: illness, injury or something in your personal life. We ask you to notify your coach as soon as possible so we can reassess your training plan, allowing you to get back on track with the least amount of disruption to your overall plan.
What are the next steps?
When you make an enquiry, we will send you an email with an athlete information pack. Once you have returned this pack, we will set up your Training Peaks account. Over the next three weeks, we will ask you to fill in your training so we can see what you get up to and give you the chance to get to grips with the software. Once this warm up period is over, we will meet with you and go through your whole athlete information pack and start the formal coaching.
